Array ( [sid] => 143210 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Your Heart and Your Body [time] => 2008-06-14 04:02:52 [hometext] => Now, for the record, this is fictional to my knowledge, I only wrote it because I liked the first rhyme in my head. Also for the record, I do not condone extra-relationship-al relations, either... This poem is FICTION. So, read it with that in mind. [bodytext] => Absence makes the heart grow fonder
But it also makes the body wander
In your heart you know that she'll always love you
But your body has found something closer to do.

In the heat of a moment, the past slips away
Thoughts are on her, not the one you betray
In your heart you know that she'll always love you
But your body does just what it wants to do.

It eats at you when you next talk to your love
And you feel like O.J. staring at that small glove
In your heart you know that she'll always love you
But what your body did will break her heart in two.

The guilt builds and builds from the single misdeed
When your body sought to satisfy its sexual greed
In your heart you know that she'll always love you
But your body is wishing that this wasn't true.

You lean your head back against the wall
Having seen the pain you caused by confessing it all
In your heart you knew that she'd always love you
But your body has won, and now one become two.

How could you risk what's so perfect and pure
A love you worked hard on, a love that was so sure?
In your heart you know she can live without you
And your body hopes the same can be said of you. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 258 [topic] => 22 [informant] => sir_odd87 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

You touched base on a touchy subject and wrote it with pure class. Nice job on this one.

I am glad this is fictional lol.

Hugs

Good write. Hits a little close to home. Good work describing it all without having been through it.
