[bodytext] => It began Not the little blue drops in kindergarten pictures But rather, a white streak. Jumping from it's cloudy comfort. Almost deafening, Popping corn in the summer heat Trees try to protect their unders But we cut ours down So the driveway got wet You could hear it when you got inside It called me back So I politely obliged Within seconds it stopped it's tantalizing beat Sensing my presence And I watched the sun turn it back To it's brethren, the mist.
