Closing the gap between me and things unseen
I知 starting to acknowledge things I値l never be
Just moving towards days that get longer with shame
This present tense encapsulates all modern thought
Beginning with memory of days long gone away
Percipience bleeds through the motions
Taking the shape of clouds like lions
Carry me home, breeze
Please show me the way
Behind these lions
I peer into the sea
In this time of sleep
This is all I値l ever need
Silhouettes come dancing across the sea
Imitating the acts of lives lost in the sway
Is this a fruitless dream?
How will I ever know
When answers just drift away in effortless decree?

Some good imagery here, especially like the clouds which with your open ended questions allow you to capture the dream like atmosphere.

The sentance: 'This is all I値l ever need' followed shortly after by

'Is this a fruitless dream?
How will I ever know
When answers just drift away in effortless decree'

makes me think the dreamy state is escapist (and possibly narcotic) as it is both enjoyable to be removed from the awakened concious state but a little frightening as you can't hold on to anything.

But then I may be barking up the wrong tree.

cheers
SC
