Today we regret what we did,
Tomorrow we'll regret wasting today
By regretting what we did yesterday.

This is a life cycle that never ends,
Always questioning what happened,
Living our lives based on the past
Or trying to make the future last.

Present day does not exist in our lives,
We are too busy being preoccupied,
Wondering what will occur tomorrow,
Remembering yesterday in sorrow.

Life flashes by, we're living day by day
As if it were yesterday by tomorrow,
Never stopping to see the sunset sky
As our lives keep on flashing by.

The beauties of today surround us
But we are blinded with our problems,
Dreams, fantasies, and all regrest;
So it is today that we all forget.

On a rare occcasion, one will step back
In order to admire what is around us.
On rare occasion, one lives today
As if there was no yesterday.

Yesterday we question what occurred,
Today we regret what we did,
Tomorrow we'll regret wasting today
By regretting what we did yesterday. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 229 [topic] => 21 [informant] => sprinter27 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

A very perceptive and well done work of art. There is so much truth in this and the warning you give here is one we should all listen to and accept. We spend so much time in the future and the past that we really do not have a today. Life is what we did or what we will do. But what about what we are doing? Perfectly presented and greatfully received.

BRAVO!
