It's been eight long years
and time has gone by
with a slow snail like high

we expressed our lines of departure
talked of what has happened
and explained the structure
of what has become

where we have grown
and kiss the memories
of times as youth
when we were always together

she talks of how she wished she would of second thought
one of the biggest decissions of her life

hell in hind sight this would of been a different world
and i think that would of been beautiful

and i know that
that is gone
and i know that
that she is still beautiful
and out of the rain
with a smile that tells me
it's okay
everything is okay

*****************************88

I talked to him last night
i guess everyone reflects
thinking of the moments
they should of picked the other choice

he sounds like he's talking face to face
eye to eye over the phone but his voice
rings with out a sent of lie

Life it dawns and in retrospect
we realize
we are not the ones we wanted to be

We step back
it's good to vent
it's good to say words out loud
it's good to know
although regret
we are still proud
of who we are

**************************88

What we need is a great golden complulation
a reunion, a feast of friends
one fine day
to sit around and talk and play

***********************88

She was here last night

youth has yet to leave her
she's sweet and listens to the intoxicate senior
she lays close and talks of choices
she will have to make
of kids and life
how she would like to be a wife
she wants a family
so she can feel like the world has started

then she turns and says
you drink to much
he smiles and pulls her in

(he thinks "I'll slow down,
I'll stop drinking tomorrow
this is a good choice)

she kisses him and then goes home

********************88

she'll be here tomorrow
she writes
giving the boy a smile

her kids are growing
she's been away
for a while
there getting big

her life is so comfortable
if only she had the one she wants

she kisses the forehead of thought
where beauty is in the arms of mother

and the boy thinks oh, mother
i wish i was the other
oh, beautiful
i wish i was the right choice

Oh, Oh, Oh,

She'll be here tomorrow
