Moon held by the willows
The lake, a mirror for fireflies
Like the stars, they twinkle
Hear the frogs, they sing a hymn
Crickets join in
Set the tempo
Trees dance in the wind to the oldest song
Owls join, sing along
But their notes are all wrong
No one cares
The night air
Spreads The Ballad to the Night
To the moon
To the stars
To the fireflies' light
To the land's many scars
Then the comfort of darkness
Adds the rhythm of rain
Owls hide in the trees
The thunder adds drums
Fireflies join the lightning in the absence of stars
Trees dance with a fervor as the tempo kicks up
A million years, every night
Until every thing's dust [comments] => 1 [counter] => 160 [topic] => 73 [informant] => KismetsPoet [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => abstract )

Ahhhh I love the night time...and this poem describes it so well....Well written...
I especially liked the line, "The lake, a mirror for fireflies"
