i'm the one who needed a little direction
and now i can't tell
if the sky should be above or below me

but i was okay before

staring at the ground over my head
and the sky beneath my feet
it blends together well
into the same kind of summer

it all seemed okay to me

i promised it would rain that day
to you it didn't matter at all
just give me anything real
but nothing fell from the lazy afternoon sky

you just said okay

all the music that we heard
made life seem
like a soundtrack
everything made more sense

it seemed okay

what we wanted
so far never seemed to matter
as long as we could sit all night
watching the rain

we said we’d be okay

i’m not trying to make this about you
but those lyrics all repeat themselves in my head
almost like you’re the one who wrote them
you never lied to me

who said we’d be okay?

i’m fine, you’re fine –
two fine liars
i’d be better, if the day it rained
it let me fade away

i’m fine, okay?

i believed you
can you believe that?
little more then half past midnight
wish for me

i wish it’d be okay

doesn’t it all seem so gone now?
but i still feel like i’ve been here before
it’s all different now
everything looks different now

doesn’t look okay to me

this theme of weather we have
but i never saw the storm with you
it only rained when you were away
what are we gonna do?

we’re gonna be okay.

you had stormy eyes
yellow and green and colors i don’t know
when lightning flashes in the sky
new colors created

more then okay

why do i do this- devastation, destruction?
and i don’t know how
i’m worse then any natural disaster
to unsuspecting hearts

if i stay away i’ll be okay

a smile and a look
you saw through and read it
we don’t even have to talk
then you looked at my eyes -

i guess we were never okay [comments] => 2 [counter] => 210 [topic] => 14 [informant] => midnight_writer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )

you seem to have alot of anger towards yourself. its a great write very detailed in feelings. but we can never say what we did was wrong. because we cant know the outcome had we done something different. so we should just move on make the best of what we are given.
