Too good to be true

You make this so hard As the tears stream down My heart, a frozen shard My smile turns to a frown As your words break me For the first time in years I don't know who to be My words make you cry And the harder I try The harder you push me away As your reasons ring false to my ears And I refute every one, through and through And your reasons become excuses. Yet, you still insist they are true. I can see the worry in your face As your mind begins to race. To argue with me and debate The fact that I think you are great The differences between us are wide But even that can't stem the tide Or stop me from falling for you Because your eyes break my heart Every single goddamn time.
