Dispatcher Harrison

I heard this voice on the air one day
And my attention it summoned right away
This voice I had not previously heard
And I perched my ear for the very next word

For this voice was slightly different
Where it held I thought a British accent
But my curiosity, had got the best of me
So I made it a point to go and see

When the first chance came, I took a ride
And it’s into that Comm Center I did glide
I said, “Who was that, upon the air?”
As the others pointed to who and where

Now she must have thought that I was bold
And it’s her ground that she did hold
She asked me what I made of it
I knew right then she didn’t take no %$@#

That was the day that first we met
That day I laughed and will not forget
And I’ll think of it, time and again
That day I heard, Dispatcher Harrison

An interesting write, Z. Lighthearted and amusing. :)

Your flow and rhyming were perfect and made the piece
that much more fun to read. Great job!
