Watching you as you started it all
A simple kiss, a gentle smile
There was no way to know you were vile
An oblivious guppy lured by the light
I gave into you without a fight
And 'SNAP' went your jaws
Suddenly all I saw were your flaws
Lying and cheating, incredibly sensitive
I couldn't believe you were so defensive
Hope died in my soul as you yelled at me
Told me to go away and let you be
Desperately I wanted to be close to you still
You hurt me so badly, your words gave me a chill
There's no way we can ever be friends
No we're not meant to be, this is where it ends
You hate me you despise me you wish pain upon me
I hope you enjoy yourself, here's my final plea
Learn to be kinder, less aggressive and cruel
Don't seduce women and make them play the fool
You could be so wonderful if you only tried
All it takes is some practice and a little less pride
I hope you find someone you can care for
Someone that you will love and adore
Hate me all you want I don't care, it's your choice
But when you're finally happy, I'll be there to rejoice [comments] => 3 [counter] => 202 [topic] => 16 [informant] => desolantdreamer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => FriendshipPoetry )

Wise words indeed.
I particularly liked the sentiment of
"Learn to be kinder, less aggressive and cruel"
Surely a thought for so many people to take heed of.Then the world might be a better place.......we can always hope

Steve
