not aware of the situation we are under
the weather man said it's going to be a direct hit
get out before it's too late go on just get
I pack one bag for we've been in this situation before
why are they making this big fuss alarming all of us for

It's over time to return home
what's that you say, It's gone
Gone as in no more come on are you sure
I was not prepared for this
my life is suddenly under complete bliss

Now I'm standing in line waiting on someone to decide my next move
can't even afford a place to stay or a plate of food
where am I to go now
nothing I used to have people I used to know they are no where to be found
Help me oh Lord
Bless my friends and family and
ME...
as we all try to pick up the pieces.

This just breaks my heart to read. Though the hurricane is long gone so many do not realize there are people still displaced and without.

I am sorry to hear this has happened to you.
I returned to Biloxi last winter and was saddened to see that even still there was so much loss and grand places gone.

Are you better now days or still struggling.

Lovely poem.

Michelle
