Array ( [sid] => 14573 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => My Hero [time] => 2003-03-20 01:25:00 [hometext] => The hero is actually a group of people. I come from a port city, where ppl move often. They helped me survive Brian's abuse and get out. After a year of hiding, I'm not sure if I can find them. [bodytext] => My hero said he'd done nothing special

I wish he could see

He stood by me when the world was cold

It all blew up

But he remained-

My rock to lean on.

He led me to the path

For me to move forward

I promised to write

But time slipped by

The path kept me busy

Went to find him the other day

Seems he found a path of his own

I hope he understands the distance

My heart holds a place for him

Gratitude for him cannot be measured

Oh, I wish he could see. [comments] => 7 [counter] => 157 [topic] => 55 [informant] => karoody [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )

"Play it forward" In the circleof life the good we recieve can be shared with others. If it continues then our actions may one day ultimately affect the lives of those who cared enough to help us in our times of need.

Be well, your continued well being is the best way to repay those who helped.

This is beautiful. Your paths will cross again one day. Circles like these are never broken. When you least expect it there they will be. Wonderful write.

I have known people in the past who have helped me just because I needed it and when I asked what I could do for them in return, they simply said "If anyone ever asks you for help, help them. That is all I want because I cannot be there to help them."

Beautiful poem.

Everyone has one of these but they can't express it with your unique simplicity and love
