with tear-stained cheeks
i sit here and wonder
if the sound of my restless soul
affects your dreams at all
in this life i have found
sometimes love is not beautiful
it holds us down
forced unto us so painfully

you admitted you didn't like me
okay, we're past that day
but here i am in front of you
so many questions in my heart
if you can love me and not like me
does that mean you don't care?
don't walk away
don't turn away
my heart aches
can't you see
why won't you look at me?
tell me why i deserve this
i would rather have hatred
perhaps indifference
yes, i choose indifference
for you would leave me be
and i would be released

Hmmmm, well, I'll start off by saying if it is a journal entry, then its one hell of a poetic journal entry so freaking full of emotion. So powerfully emotional!!! I really like your writing... it is soooo intense. One may say it's bias but I think not. Your writing is only one of the things that draws me towards you.

So many things you have said in this poem makes me think.

I tend to wonder if it is love at all if it is so painful. Sure, love can hurt but once it crosses a line of an unbearable pain, is it truly love or simply our need or desire for love. Why do we torture ourselves?

And this line: if you can love me and not like me
does that mean you don't care?
made me think of my brother. Quite often I found myself not liking him but did love him... so yes I cared. I'd say whoever this poem is about probably cares, in their own way, in their own mind. Sure they care. Do they know how to care? Well, that's more a question for philosophers and someone more qualified than me.

Then there's this question. Who in the hell could not like you? Now that one I will never.... NEVER, understand.

Definitely a great write here, Angel Bear! ! !

Just keep being you. Some people can't be figured out and if they don't like you... then it's their stupid loss!!!

More of a poem than a journal entry.

Ebar hugs!!!!

Loves ya,

Tim
(who loves the way this "journal entry" is written and appreciates you sharing)

keep writing for it releases the heart...I know it is hard but sometimes there are those close to us who we desperately reach out to and we never do get an answer as to why they are as they are...hang in there it is not you who has the problem it is them...

Hugs
Shari

I don`t have a lot to say Kara...except for the depth of the write. not just words on paper, but feelings and questions we will carry around all our lives, things that can`t be gone back to and changed..and we must live on burying them shallow, they refuse to go deeper...from one heart to another..peace" Lane

time will be the best medicine i guess in matters of the heart...i hope you are feeling much better now...
"if the sound of my restless souls affects your dreams at all"...this is what went through my mind right before i read this poem...i sure hope it does but maybe it was just me wasting my time being restless afterall...

really good write...:)

Beautiful work, love is merciless
even when it's being merciful, it
alone decides who shall laugh
and who shall cry . . .

thank you for your comment
and read, take care . . .

I feel this poem because I have been there I loved with my whole heart and was turned away. I lived the dark depressed days and yes; I cried day or night it was always dark day or night. To love to be rejected and yet still love is renching and tares the heart. Ihe pain inside we can hide, but in a crowd or alone..you remain alone. No one can understand unless they have been there in that abyss. good write.
Never stop writing..you..are..good !
