Hello, my friend
Well met. It is a bit cold,
but my how you have grown. You used to look
so innocent, or so I remember.

No, you are not threatening! No, of course not…No.
Merely… imposing. It suits you. Please,
shake your great limbs,
be free of my burden. If not kept in check,
I know well you are quite the foe.

It’s a good thing, then, that you are of me.
By me, of me, for me.
But to serve what purpose? You twitch.
Do I still control you?

Please, don’t look at me like that.
I can not hold the door much longer, anyway.
You are free to walk in. See? An empty room,
How you left it.

Do not be angry with me.
There is nothing to feel toward.
Project yourself on nothingness, you know
only oblivion will follow.

You shrug, and leave.
How casual, how cold.

It is cold, isn’t it?
Don’t forget the do—

very powerful write indeed. . . I remember recgonizing the distinct differences that evolved between my child & myself. the unspoken alliances & the drifts that rose up like icebergs amidst our love & care for each other. I recall these feelings & many more besides. . . & after some painful time I realized everything changes, but my blessing of her remains the same. . . thanks. peace. elle
