Array ( [sid] => 147228 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thank You [time] => 2009-01-05 00:55:01 [hometext] => This poem is basically a poem about a close friend who always helped me up when I'm down, I'm pretty sure we all can relate. [bodytext] => Thank you

I was down and lost, never knew I’d get up
Thank you for picking me up

Caught in my own drama, thought I’d never find peace
You told me life would be better just keep strong

I was ready to give up; looking for any med’s around
You changed my mind, said thing will get better

I shunned myself away from society; my close friends grew apart from me
Walked a crooked path, lost every interest in life

I stayed to myself, hoping that I wouldn’t get hurt
I stayed away from everyone else, hoping they wouldn’t get hurt

I’m a mysterious person, pretty hard to understand
Anybody would be lucky if they really knew me

We hardly knew each other, and yet you’re helping me up
Thought I was still asleep, never knew when I’d wake up

Yet I’m still stuck in this phase
Is this a dream or am I really awake

Yes I’m awake and yes you’re still here
Never knew a person like u existed

Always thought u you were like any normal person
But your not, you fix broken wings
You heal broken hearts
You cure lost minds
And reconstruct shattered dreams

Till this day I still don’t know if this is true
Or why is this happening to me

But what ever it is, real or not
I want to thank you for being there for me

Thank you for being who you are
Thank you for being a good friend
Thank you for being a brother to me
Thank you for being you
