And regrets as countless as grains of sand do live
Where a shadow’s breath like a hurricane force wind does blow
Breathing life into a past that would rather be forgotten

A palm tree forest thrives creating a wall that conceals what lies within
Where wild creatures run like the tormented mind
And demons lurk in the shadows waiting
Waiting for weary eyes to close before they come out of hiding

Once eyes shut, a gate is forever opened
Where nightmares and fears reign supreme never to cease
And blood runs cold and hearts beat erratic
Within this twisting labyrinth nothing is known for certain

Straining eyes cant find their way
For mortal sight cant see the light through the darkness
Passageways, corridors, and catacombs taking the soul ever deeper
Unable to stand idle, no longer safe, for the wall has fallen

Not into dark reads either but I've read
your writing before and knew I was in for a
ride.

It just gets deeper and deeper with each
line. Drawing you down to the next line
until it's black.

Awesome write...........Mike
