Grasping for help with nothing to lose
Tumbling down head-over-heel
For the man with universal appeal
Down these old rusty metal chutes
Past lines of lines of people in suits
The tumbling of bodies causes thumping sounds
Through the chutes, roots, dirt, and suits it resounds
And these people are well-cushioned for tumbling down
All they see are the brutes in the suits 'round and 'round
Until at last the arrive at the end
A hole in the bottom 'round a bend
And they emerge out the bottom in a cavernous chamber
Suddenly filled with shock, sorrow, terror and anger
As they fall no longer head-over-heel
To where cogs turn wheel-over-wheel
And grinding gears turn over gears
And a screeching fills their ears
The man and his suits hold their breath
In a factory whose product is death
As the bodies thump in tubes no more
And from six foot high to the floor
It's just a pool of blood and gore [comments] => 3 [counter] => 221 [topic] => 13 [informant] => matariel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Don't have a clue what the meaning is!

I liked the last few lines.

Is this what it feels like to die? I'll pass, thank you very much. :P

Seriously, this was wonderfully dark. The "suits" are slightly
foreboding. Excellent use of imagery and language here.

Wow...that was excellent (:
I pictured all that blood and gore perfectly, haha.
