Over a month but for some reason time seems suspended.
No big truck rumble, no coast to coast, no gear jamming, or a coffee toast.
It is chaos, and a hum of the vibration of the busy city street,
Information coming from to many directions, running in circles with no outcome in sight.

Then in the midst of it all......
The rain falls gentle, and spring in on our heels, mist and dew, a trail of water off our shoes.
Bud and flora, fragrance dancing the breeze, flowers upon the vine, new leaf upon the barren branch.
In the mist of rain, city noise, tailored on the edge of blue, a handful of flowers off I go.
Causing a few grumpy faces and shaking fingers, but hey, it is my spring too what does it hurt to gather a blossom?
Even though at this moment, suspended in time, those flowers are not blooming in a garden I call mine.

Stand in the rain, or lay awake at night and listen to the constant patter, and the drama need not matter.
The journey is at a dead end it seems, but from this moment where else is there to go but up?
One day again, we shall sail on a summers mighty gale and be free in flight with all our might.
The Blue Jay and Hawk our friend, and that darn Crow, he is following me where ever I go, chattering all the way.

Maybe just for today, I can look at this dead end journey as a magical mystery I am about to uncover
and slip it inside a nicely covered book, to be read another day another time,
when it wont all seem so important, urgent and hard...........................

Nice poem I really liked the lines -

- Even though at this moment, suspended in time, those flowers are not blooming in a garden I call mine

I feel I know what these lines mean and can relate to them!

Michelle,

A beautiful write you have penned. For what it is worth, There are no 'Dead end Journeys', There may be a lull, but always a new door or road will appear. Have faith my friend. You will see. Until then, enjoy the beauty of others flowers.

The way you paint the scenes so vividly in this piece I swear I am there.
I can almost taste the rain as it falls and smell the dampness in the air.
Beautiful imagery, yet another winner
