Adopt me my dear Mother Nature,
As a member of your caring family.
I turned away from the deceitful world
Dejected; Hopefully I’ve come to you;
Take me into your fold with warmth and love.

Can I be a glacier, a reservoir of fresh water,
Of the great and lofty Himalayas.?
Melt and gracefully flow down the valley
To quench the thirst of men and parched lands.

Or, shall I go and enjoy a thrilling joy ride,
On the fleeting silvery clouds over the cliff.

Allow me to join the singing band of Cuckoos,
And learn to sing along with them in chorus.

Let me waft as gentle breeze, ‘whispering thru’ trees’,
To spread the fragrance of blooming flowers.

Permit me to explore the far off mystic Universe,
Stay there and count twinkling stars in the galaxy.

Allow me to plunge into the sea of deep fathoms,
To experience the marine life with exciting species.

Float amongst the cluster of Lotus in the lucid lake;
A flower, symbolizing beauty, purity and divinity.

Let me relax on the blades of lush green grass,
As refreshing dew in the late summer mornings.

Transform me into a bewitching butterfly, to hop merrily
And to fall in love with flowers and kiss them passionately.

Or, permit me to grow into a huge tree in a dense forest
And allow flock of birds to build rows of nest.
Let me do the ‘baby sitting’ for the young ones,
In the absence of their ‘parents’, away in search of prey.

Or I’ll take over anything you choose to offer,
Readily and gladly, once you take me as a member.

Adopt me my dear Mother Nature,
As a member of your caring family.
I turned away from the deceitful world
Dejected; hopefully I’ve come to you;
Take me into your fold with warmth and love.
