Take me far away,
Keep me sane, demons at bay,
If only for just one night,
They listen so, they head my plight.

Then the dark becomes my past,
I hope it lives, I hope it lasts,
Mind is numb, first time in years,
I lack my anger and the fear.

The fear of living, razors edge,
I jumped that hurled, cleared the hedge,
My sanity now in clear view,
No insane thoughts, that stuck like glue.

I pop a pill and all’s forgiven,
No shady agenda that lies hidden,
Truth laid out for all to see,
That happy pills reside in me

Someone once told me I was addicted to my happy pills...
I disagreed, and told him I am addicted to being happy.
I really enjoyed that poem
thanks for sharing

The was I see it is those insane thoughts are what keeps us sane. But I do wish I could take a pill to make me numb to it all
What if I told you the pill was a fake and what you feel is you and nothing else you'd be happy on your own. Medicine doesn't make people happy people make people happy

great poem
hope to read more soon
-Kelly
Only question I have are you a pixie of the Light or the Dark?

Hello-
I was thumbing through some poems and came to this one-
Very strong and aluring-
I wish that I could find a pill to make me happy-
Then again I most likely couldn>t afford it-
