The whispers in the wind
Are floating by with ease
They twirl across a moonlit sky
In movement with the breeze
And as that zephyr dissipates
The world is still and calm
The whispers take a lucid form
And settle in my palm
I smile down at the precious words
And cradle them with care
I hesitate to let them go
But know that I must share
I find the nerve and take a breath
I let the words fall free
I expose to you my heart and soul
And put my faith in thee
