hearts broken but do not yeild
you keep them hold them embrace them tight
stained blood from wars plight
heartbroken love striken in a etrnal light
you mark the graves
from were they fell
silent now but a story to tell

a band of colour in a feild of grey
a reminder to battles of days gone by and ancient yore
alone empty loves lust eternal tore
you purify the feilds filled with death
with scent of cool summer fresh
the aroma is sweet not bitter nor cruel
steeped in the tones of a crimson pool

a monument you stand there
emerging from the ashes
of long gone clashes
you blind and scar the land in ruby blaze
were lost within your swirling haze
forever you stand there
forever you wait
to keep the love alive
no matter how futile or late . [comments] => 3 [counter] => 224 [topic] => 55 [informant] => fortunesdancer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )
