I see a fun house maze of faces all around me.
They all look uncertain and the same.
Society has molded us into mirror images of each other,
uniform clothes, identical thoughts, and twin expressions.
The template that is this life becomes so plain.

I decide to be distinct, to stand up against adversity.
Choose to love what I want to love,
to hate what I want to hate,
for these principles I do uptake.
Can you not feel the prison that they built?
The chocking collar that you've slipped around your throat?
You say you understand,
but you stare at me with the same voids as those around you.
Identical mindless eyes of those that bind you.

I will be free I Scream!
To live the dream that I have dreamt,
not one of recompense.
But these words fall upon deaf ears,
as you timidly give into all your fears.
Now I leave Mankind to its doom.
In the end you all did create, this sad, empty, shallow fate.

One day you will wake with the icy pang of anxiety,
to realize that this empty dream is just a trap.
But alas it is to late, there is no escape.
The wardens of Debt and Responsibility will never let you flee,
for the chains that you yourself did place, are the hardest bonds to break.
So crack the shell before it becomes to thick.
Take back your life and the choice of it.

Shatter the cast.

Very nice. Vaguely reminds me of Sounds of Silence, by simon and garfunkel--that was also a call to people to cast off conformity.
I like it. 4 stars.
