Your eyes are not present this night
Inside the earth and its stars revolve
Turning only to make you step back
From the overcrowded words I spoke
I call but your images are blurred
Will you stay on the edge of falling
Or is there some way across this ocean

Clear water reflects all your tears
The ones I never had a chance to see
Fear consumes what I thought was real
And you fall into the waves without me

Now I wait for reality to restore you
To the state of being what you want to be
I stare at pictures that reflect your beauty
Trying not to think of what you gave me
It brings pain to my heart amidst the joy
Will these pictures ever become real gain
Is there something I did to fall again

I rush over to where you seemingly sleep
Maybe it's too late to revive my memories
As I approach you suddenly awake again
And I can see a restoration among the waves
All your moments flood into my heart
But are they what I thought they were once
Or does the water reflect something surreal

I feel my final imagination dying tonight
Trying to heal the times I had with you
But I can't decide what to expect
When you awake in honesty to look at me
Will you want to revive you memories as well
Or will you run from the edge of pain
And restore the reality you had before

There's nothing to see as I look ahead
But I know that I might still be blind
Don't let my tears flow into your heart
It's just that I don't want to let go
Next time, when I see your beauty again
I might let go of all the waves I caused
There might be something to hold on to
But even if you just smile and say "not today"
I will still be thankful, to say the least
For having all those memories of fulfillment
And for having you to bring joy into my life [comments] => 1 [counter] => 325 [topic] => 14 [informant] => psyonara [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DreamsandWishes )
