Array ( [sid] => 151562 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => One Last Chance [time] => 2009-07-18 12:20:42 [hometext] => This is kind of sort of half-way a song that I wrote, after the person I love broke up with me. The instrumental part I wrote to coinside with it is on acoustic guitar [bodytext] => I irritated you
which frustrated me
but when it came down to it
you were what filled me with glee

And now Im here at what appears the end
Done with the depression
Done with the pain
All I want to do now is try to mend
So I will hit send
but I wont pretend
that this will bend
the decisions you have made
and the chances of this being saved
are small and slim and gray
filled with hope and dismay
and all I can do is pray

So while I thought no one could see me
I let my thoughts flow freely
And came to the conclusion
that I needed to take action

You say we were not ment to be
but you are what saved me
and if given the chance
I could re-spark this romance

And now Im here at what appears the end
Done with the depression
Done with the confession
All I want to do now is try to mend
So I will hit send
but I wont pretend
that this will bend
the decisions you have made
and the chances of this being saved
are small and slim and gray
filled with hope and dismay
all I can do is pray

When you deal with puppy love
all you get is puppy hurt
so if that’s what we had
there would be no tears on this shirt

I will not cry
instead I will try
To recreate peace
with my puzzle piece

One more chance
is all that I ask
One more dance
to re-spark this romance [comments] => 0 [counter] => 154 [topic] => 22 [informant] => ryanadams [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
