the reflection of past mistakes leaving this future a true tragedy.

Lost in this barren wasteland,
a young soldier finds love,
sworn to protect it from the world's evils with an iron glove.

Her smile warms his heart in this time of a technological war,
but the sky's toxic,
and he weeps from memories watching the eagles soar.

Time's changed for now only fighter jets and warships rule the once blue sky,
turning the skies red with a true battle cry.

He tries to keep her heart in the shade,
away from the sun's cruel light,
portraying images not ment for such an innocent's sight.

He gazes at explosions and the sounds of gunfire erupting into the air,
and cyborgs once human,
are torn down and turned into missionaries of dispair.

Cyborgs once friends...
Thier stolen minds at the hands of a Kingly puppeteer,
mindless slaves with objectives to imprint fear.

Revenge lingers in his heart for the deaths of his lost family,
He loads his cannons and fires up his gun-ship for now revenge is the only remedy.

He hides his love in the shadows of this nightmare,
two young youths forced to part ways for his lost the ability to love,
and the new symbol of peace is laser cannons, oppose to that of a dove.

The last of her tear drops fall down to the floor,
knowing another chapter of their love will exist no more.

He pauses and his face holds one last smile;
seeing memories of them sky riding with their hoverboards.
Soaring to hieghts no birds can reach,
but the world's envy robbed them of thier love like a leech.

His smile soon leaves;
as fast as the gun-ships appeared on that epic day,
as fast as their instruments of war turned the earth to a worldly ashtray.

He enters his gun-ship...
Time freezes and his mind becomes clear;
unlike mindless androids and cyborgs he fights for the chance of love to re-appear.

She enters the Never Star,
with orders to leave Earth's atmosphere,
into a safe haven in space where she will wait for his love to re-appear.

They never look back as their futures drift apart,
but the feelings they contain in their hearts will never depart,
and after the war thier love will find one another ready for a new start... The year is 3000 AD,
the reflection of past mistakes leaving this future a true tragedy.
