[hometext] => I wrote this poem as soon as i returned home from being told my wife was pregnant with our first child, in a panic to get all things ready, even though i had nine months !
[bodytext] => As soon as Mummy told me, I ran up to your room, An unused back end bedroom But i would change that soon. The colours were all chosen, And I painted through the night, With shelving in the corner, To make it look just right. We spent a load of money, Making sure it was all new, A nursery and a Bedroom, A way to welcome you. There's nothing you will need now, We've taken care of that, And when it was all finished, We quietly looked, and sat. The cot and moses basket, All assembled with clean sheets, Teddy bears and squeakers, A range of feeding teats. A Baby room thermometer, Kids Curtains, matching shade, Another trip to mothercare, Next week, when i get paid. There's only one thing missing, Still inside mummy's tum, Just six more months to go now, Before it's time to come. All we can do is wait now, For a fun sized bundle of noise, To bring this room to life at last, And slobber on the toys.
