When my hands arc through the air
I see trails of silver, cosmic,
and as I speak,
gold stars lift from the words and
make a heaven of the room.

I move in sessions,
phases of Mother of Pearl
with laughter like staccato crystal;
and my gaze is a lure for the unwary,
a fire for the greedy.

Truth is, I have forgotten where
the seam of me ends and the magic begins;
where incantation is mere conversation,
and the sacred only prosaic.

So, I shall weave my spells
washing the dishes,
and sing songs of Creation
as I go about my everyday.

I've always thought that magic surrounds
us. This is a lovely and uplifting piece. I
especially love the last stanza, since it
encompasses everything. It's a really
beautiful write. Thank you for sharing it
with us and for remembering the magic.

Be well,
~Loende

WOW! it's been a while since I've read anything of yours and this was a less than subtle reminder of the quality you possess. Top-notch.

This poem excels with your talent as a poet, Sir Spike!!!

I love the way you have intertwined everyday life with that which is, the magic of life and that what surrounds us.

Dude, this is great!

Thank you,

Tim

O lord what a poem!! you have shown me you are a Wordsworth for sure!! you have taken the apparent mundane everyday and made it simply exquisite.

you paint a picture of what many of us don't do enough and take a look around us at the artistry, the design. and the beauty of it all!!

this is one of the most unique, intelligent t and entertaining poems I've ever laid eyes on.

absolutely brilliant work!! keep it!

When I read a poem, and I get a chill, that's when I know I've read poetry. And my spine is still tinging from reading this piece. Masterfully done.
