Our children are dieing at their own hand.
It's spreading all over this land.
They call um gangs; bloods, crips and other names.
What a sad tricky game.

There's nothing good in their end.
Please help them understand.
It leads to death, no place to hide.
Blow the cover on this suicide.

What happened, who failed them so
that they have no other way to go?
Where is this key to tender hearts
Giving them luv, a new start?

I'm just a concerned soul.
My heart bleeds for them, you know.
Give us wisdom to get through
To reach um with your luv, so true.

Father God,
Our children are dieing at their own hand.
It's spreading all over this land.
They call um gangs; bloods, crips and other names.

Teriffic!!! Shows that people out there still care about our youth and the paths they take...We all hope that they are able to get on the best one possible!! I know mine werent always such good ones at all so,... BUt here i'am!!!! Good work!! Keep Posting and Keep Writing and sharing 4 sure!!

2002!!...God, and it ain't getting no better. In the last few years the scale of gang related violence and gun crime in England seems to be going up and up!
Aside from that depessing note, this is a strong and well written piece.

Reminds me of a song I heard on the radio, Changing the World. We need to not forget all the violence and death that's in this culture, and this is a good reminder.

i like this poem because most people just fell fear from them, they dont usually give sympathy. its a wonderful, caring poem

its so true,nowadays theres too much violence out there and not enough love to go around!

With a family member who commited suicide, I know first hand the pain this action brings forth. Thankfully, there are people who are there to try to shed some light on this dark tendency.
