I took the chance to follow,
but love just left me hollow

—rejected me.

So I partnered up with anger,
because that one likes to linger

—consumed me.

Now the tide of red has settled
and bitterness has rattled,
while loneliness has reduced me
to maudlin opportunity

I know when I read your poems that they are guaranteed to be quality. This was superb. Passionate, emotive, stunning.
