But some may want to be sympathized
Others think they’d never fall in love again
Or that there is nothing they’d ever attain

Some complete the journey without having to pay
A price for being in love, or falling in it
Others might be journeying on a lovely sunny day
But would then encounter the sign board ‘Give way’

It's love that persuades them to make a fresh start
Despite knowing that they might fail again
And that their world might suddenly fall apart
They all can’t help but listen to their hearts

'The Pain of Love' is a love-poem in an entirely different sense from that which we usually think of as a love poem. A regular love poem expresses the love of one person for another. This love poem strikes a universal chord: it's not only about love and the pains that accompany it; it's not only about the various ways persons cope with the acute matters of love; it's not only a self study -- implicit, yes -- that speaks of the poet's own experience in love. No. It's also a tribute to love. It tacitly admits that love is bound up with pain. It knows of loss of love -- but perhaps not of the final Loss of love: thus a poem of youth -- a time when passion is ripe, THE time to find one's true love.

And that is the answer. The one who is someone's true love will never hurt him -- or her --. There is pain, no doubt, even in the best of circumstances; but true love always wins out over blue love. As the poet says: you just keep making a fresh start if past experiences have been unsuccessful... My only caveat -- as a 60 year-old man -- is that you must recognize true love for what it is. Do not turn away from it. Sometimes love must grow. Give it a chance -- don't throw away something that is more than worth keeping. You may not have another chance. The passion of youthful love fades; not to say you don't love, later on, but -- hey -- you know what I mean, what?
