Though separate lives they both did lead
For a single reason their hearts did bleed
Because they came from different places
They had never met or seen each others faces

Time went on and their friendship did grow
More about each other they wanted to know
Though their separate lives kept them away
A special time they spent together every day

One day in his heart he felt a deep burn
To express his feeling he did yearn
She wondered if what he said could be real
He said if he was blind the same way he would feel

His desire was for the woman within the exterior shell
He had hoped she understood this before when he did tell
If through this life they never do get to physically touch
He wanted her to understand he loved he so much

Beautiful write. You capture the essence of a love of distant soul mates that may have never met physically but are bonded together spirtually.

This is beautiful, my friend. There is much to be said for the heart's eyes.
For even when we cannot see in the physical sense, the heart always knows.
It sees with a perfection that even 20/20 does not possess. Your expression
is a gift and your heart is an ocean, dear poet. Very deep.

Beautiful ~

~ Breezy
