whistling wind blowing cares astray,
a momentous event occurred,
a visit from a hummingbird.
A snapshot of time standing still,
as you gaze leaning on the window sill.
The flickering fairy with the mystical hum,
more magical than all dreams to come,
iridescent flutters in mid-air,
from the window, you stop and stare;
winged magic in plain sight,
fairy dust sparkling in the light,
rapidly disappearing in a flash of time.
The hummingbird's presence is sublime. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 174 [topic] => 55 [informant] => lesoleilnoire [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )

We don't have hummingbirds where I live, but if
this is the kind of poetry they inspire, then .......

How much for a dozen??

Lucky aunt. Velvet verse!
