Array ( [sid] => 15327 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Strength [time] => 2003-03-31 15:05:00 [hometext] => This poem was written on a sponaneous feeling. It was how I felt at the moment, therefore, it might wander a bit. [bodytext] => What did you think
when you heard the news?
Could you hear your heart break
and feel your soul bruise?
How did you feel
when you knew it was real?
You never got to say goodbye.
All you could do was sit and cry.
Our families were lost,
friends' lives were taken.
He thought he was boss.
We'll show him what's waitin'.
Lady Liberty stands proud and tall.
She stands for freedom -
She will never fall.
Terror can strike at any time.
But we won't let it take
what's yours and mine.
Our nation is strong.
Here in America is where we belong.
Our land is free -
the home of the brave.
Saddam is doomed.
He's marked his grave.
We won't let him run.
We won't let him hide.
Saddam Hussein
has had his last ride.
Our land is free -
the home of the brave.
We'll stand on our feet
and go on our way.
Saddam Hussein
will hurt us no more.
Our soldiers have gone
to settle the score. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 230 [topic] => 8 [informant] => kritty [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => AmericanTragedy )

I think you did an excellent job, you write it really well. I only have one negative thing to say....Saddam Hussein had nothing to do with the attacks on America. But other than that I really do think that you wrote it well!!
