[bodytext] => Your Last Day If it were your last day on earth, how would you spend your time? What would be important to you? Life would become instantly serious, wouldn’t it? Suddenly, the trivial pursuits of bank accounts, stock market values, the latest gossip… all would all cease to be important, wouldn’t they? Would you hug your children extra tight and tell them you love them? Would you stay on your knees longer in prayer? Would you seek forgiveness from those you know you have wronged? Would you spend the day caring for the homeless or the sick? Or would you take one last opportunity to write to your congressman about the errors in government. Would you bother to make out a “to do” list or count your money in the bank one last time, or withdraw it all? Would you smile more? Love more? Pray more? Would you take one last walk in nature, God’s second book? Life is fleeting. Tomorrow has not been promised. Perhaps today is the day to plan for eternity. “Since everything here today might well be gone tomorrow, do you see how essential it is to live a holy life?” 2 Peter 3:11, MSG “It pays to take life seriously; things work out when you trust in God.” Proverbs 16:20, MSG [comments] => 0 [counter] => 165 [topic] => 62 [informant] => picklepuss [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => spiritual )
