I have a little dark place
it's here for my eyes only
I go into my dark place
when I get really lonely

I hide my little dark place
so no one else can see
my private little dark place
there's only room for me

I really need my dark place
when life gets really bad
I stay inside my dark place
when I get really sad

And when I'm in my dark place
I still feel like a child
here inside my dark place
my emotions running wild

And still here in my dark place
my mind is put at ease
understand my dark place
I ask this of you please
