fighting with the lonesome trees.
Taking away their beautiful gowns
lightly scattering all the leaves.

The October winds are howling
sending chills into my soul.
Autumn has barely arrived
now it's almost time for her to go.

Such is the changing of the seasons
and the things that go on in life.
An ever changing cycle
some joy, mixed in with trial and strife.

Like that last little leaf
that just doesn't want to let go.
Hanging on for all its might
tighter when the cold winds blow.

When the last leaf has given up
and the fight against the wind was lost.
Mr. Winter shall raise his head
and let go of all his frost.

Your poetry (no matter the genre) has deep thought, and sincere feeling. It is like your heart can hold an imaginary pen.

Your imagery was unique and elegant in this poem. And, I find such beauty even in the falling leaves. The rain seems to travel in to keep the leaves on the ground. But those leaves scattered and colorful are so vibrant against every other surrounding. Perhaps nature knows that before the starkness of winter we needs the visual of a majestic autumn.

I loved everything about this poem. Truly.

God I hate winter.
This reminded me of how much I want the summer to come back.
I MISS IT SO MUCH!

But all in all.
Still good work.
