[bodytext] => The smell of fear is a pile of meat so rotten that it is green oozing drops of wet cement into the vat that’s got me chained to the bottom I watch as skeletons and forgotten dreams sink into thick sticky pools of tar That I keep in the part of my brain I don’t like to visit Thankfully, I’m only neck deep So I can still smell the aroma ammonia and humid air that drifts From tropical nights in forgotten lands I keep asking for a rope But the lifeguard is on her lunch break And I didn’t sign the waiver The old man in the corner wearing a top hat and beat up loafers Keeps playing one note on a standup bass that is out of tune.
