Countless things I must say
Some may mourn these broken things
Such as hearts, bodies, and minds

But does anybody mourn the broken soul
The ones that may have messed up a few times
The ones that have been traveling wayward
Tell me is there any mercy
For the broken soul

Again many things can be broken
Some of what can be said
Is able to be fixed or mended
But is there a cure for the broken soul
The kind that feels its too late to change
The kind which seems to captivate the minds of many

Yet now I know there is mercy for the broken soul
The kind which used to be innocent long ago
There's forgiveness for the sinful nature
Yes I know there is mercy

A very profound write. I'm never quite sure about forgiveness, some things can just never be forgiven. Then there will be the broken souls who can never be fixed, no matter how much rehabilitation and counseling they go through. But some certainly can be saved, and I think you made that point well in your poem.

Oh this is heart touching. Beautiful work.
Yes I do believe there is mending for a broken soul this I know for a fact.

Lovely thought in this......
