Its secrets are not visible
To the eyes of the shore,
And sweet little wishes
Will ask it for more,
For what dwells within
Is what makes it free—
This is the soul of the midnight sea.

Its waves are as graceful as a midnight ballet
Glistening with crystals
As they swish and they sway,
Caressing the air
With tranquility
This is the dance of the midnight sea.

It is brave in the war when thunder comes—
Fights against lightning till the morning sun…
Fights for its freedom
For it has the right to be free!
This is the battle of the midnight sea!

It doesn’t forget the bliss of its peace,
Its unrestrained love, and its will to release
All that is beautiful
In all serenity—
This is the pulse of the midnight sea.

‘Tis the moon that watches its every wave.
‘Tis the stars that say it’s sacred and brave.
‘Tis the wind that knows its harmony,
But I—
I feel its melody…
This is the song of the midnight sea.

Cradled in its soothing tune
So pure
So true
So claps the moon!
It captures me,
My heart it holds—
Oh how it calms my raging soul.

Oh how I know just how it feels…
Beneath my flesh it slowly peels
Away each layer sorrow claimed,
Oh how it sweetly calls my name…..

oh how it sweetly calls my name…

As I close my eyes to venture there,
With all its love, and peace, and care
To hear it softly
Whisper serene.
This is my soul’s most delicate dream.
