Time will tell

Were so close but yet so far
I can feel your touch but still were apart
I pray that I can make you mine
But only one thing will tell, time

So I sit here waiting by your side
Staring into your eyes as they shine
Dreaming of the day we will reunite
Hoping each day that it will be tonight

So many things have split our paths
Now one last thing keeps u away
One goal you say you must achieve
I will wait patiently for that day

My heart is yours and will remain yours
But every minute without you is another war
May these wars end and bring peace
So I can feel your love, a touch as soft as fleece

I can see a future with you as my love
But also a future with no one to love
It scares me to think it may be too late
The day your goal is reached, will u still think me great?

Only time can tell my destiny and my path to be
Until then I pray to god and plea
That I will wake up with my heart at ease
For I will hold once again thee
