My shallow breathing
The blood on my lips and cheek
Eyes hazed over in a daze
Trying to sit up and feeling so weak
As my hand runs down my chest and feels a hilt
I know my future is bleak
I cant seem to remember what happened
Tearing up my mind for the answers I seek
I remember see your face
But was it today or last week
It all comes back to me now
How you acted so innocent and meek
Hiding the knife behide your back
As you caressed my cheek
Then you stabbed me in the heart
The blade found the lung that it did seak
You left me in the mud to die
The pain from your betrayal killed me faster than the blade
The smile on your face as you stabbed me hurts less
As my mind and sight fades
And yet I still love you
No matter what you do to me
I'll love you through it all
I continue to love you
even though to death I now fall
