evasive were rebels on the run
fighting for love
beneath the midnight sun.

A hasty getaway for freedom,
yet dark forces pursue,
the non-believers of love
and ideas of something new.
Old fashioned they were
prisoners of worn out history,
they spawned endless dangers
and plagued the young with misery.

Two lovers chose to rebel
to express concealed desires,
the elders frowned upon them
threatening with poisons and fires.

He guided her tenderly
through deadly barricades,
A soldier of love
lighting a love-lit path
against the gloomy shadows.

Troubles chased steadily,
but comets evaded
swept into outter space
two hearts, light years away
clinging to hopes and dreams
to love another day. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 247 [topic] => 43 [informant] => daylynn_van_wyk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Through doom and gloom - yet love will find a way. It always does!
