Blanket me with your beauty
I have known of nothing more divine than you
You move me with the grace of a thousand butterflies
Yet keep me perfectly suspended within your eyes
Your kisses leave the love dripping off my lips
With my soul dangling from the edge of your fingertips
I've found the meaning of life just beneath the surface of your skin
I long to be near you...and crave to be within
Because I somehow need you more with every breath I take
Sometimes I wish you could hold my beating heart in the palm of your hand
Only then would you begin to understand
What it's like to feel the way I do
To be completely enthralled and head over heels in love with you
And if nothing more...on hands and knees upon this floor
I will beg for just one touch
Just one minute to feel your embrace
Wrapped in a moment of your grace
Hold me, console my aching heart
Only then will I cath my breath
Just to become breathless for you once again
Because despite the distances that often scatter us far and wide
The love I carry for you is deep enough to close the divide
Resting on a level far above what the universe could ever understand
I'm standing here reaching out for your hand
So pull me closer than I've ever been
And lay your body across mine...
...Once again.
