Array ( [sid] => 157541 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Columbian Caucasion Queen [time] => 2010-02-16 21:35:24 [hometext] => I was supposed to write a love poem for class, this poem represents the only true love I've ever had. It is the third poem I've ever written, but I'm starting to enjoy it. [bodytext] => I felt unusually nervous when we first met.
There was nothing special about your looks,
But there was something special about your look.
Soft, gentle, and subtle; yet,
Serene
Indifferent to my five senses.

Your unfamiliar presence commanded the bar’s attention,
An enigma in a cesspool of girls needing recognition.
I covertly and quickly smell you,
The scent is intoxicating.
Inaudible to others, you faintly whispered “HI!”

Gathering myself quickly,
I can't find my gum
Suddenly, nobody mattered but us,
And we hastily left all of them in our dust

We enthusiastically engaged in rapid conversation
A couple of geeks fond of flirtation.
Though, my night ended in frustration:
as you would not let me complete the night's sensation

You wouldn’t let me sleep with you.
Why can't I sleep with you, dear?

I woke up the next morning infatuated,
Such strong feelings were foreign to me.
I had to meet with you again.

Any harsh weather becomes beautiful when you appear.
Smiling in hail snow, white-outs coldness.
Your love's power presides over even Mother Nature,
enchantingly exotic for a white girl

Other couples’ clichés are our reality,
I get a warm, fuzzy feeling whenever I see you.
Eating, sleeping, and worrying become mirror afterthoughts
People judge us but we’re numb to it.
They envy our geeky happiness,
Eagerly in love, rather than slaves to the word’s binding.

I love your fair complexion.
I love how your kiss paralyzes my lips.
Perfection.

I will be heartbroken when you inevitably break my heart,
I won’t blame you, I could never get tired with you.
you made the world a better place.
many more hearts will fall victim to your seductive nature
but none could ever keep up with your demands,
I’m just content that I had you in my life.

a bleak, frigid, White Winter evening,
she's leaving.
my nose begins to run as I sadly sniffle,
Blow’n my nose
soaking into my tissueThumpThumpThump.
One last time. Thump…Thump
It seemed too cold for the snow to melt …Thump….
....She finally lets me sleep with her
………….thump… ……
She finally lets me sleep with her…………………….

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
