There comes a point when things get rough
And just to survive you have to hang tough
You quickly learn that if you do not stand firm and tall
It is easy to be swallowed up and fall

At these times I never ask of my friends to act as my shield
But standing in front as their protector with my sword I do wield
If it is their choice to leave, it is now that I hope they decide to bail
For very soon I will be facing the full wrath of Hell

I will protect you and stand firm my ground until my death
Vowing to sing your praises even with my final breath
It is for you my friends for which I have been placed upon this earth
My destiny was written back at the time of my birth

Not knowing which battle was to be my last
Was quite troublesome in the past
Since I have now received the friends promised to me
The fulfilling of my story before me I see

As Hell approaches with flaming weapons drawn
This battle will last from dusk through the dawn
Stand firm I have learned and do not flinch
For the flaming arrows merely provide a pinch

The flaming swords leave a nasty scar
Though they are not the deadliest by far
The weapon they use to plunge deep into my heart
Is the knowledge that my friends and I will soon be torn apart

I understood that this battle would one day come my way
The exact date I could never get anyone to say
I will stand firm till I can stand no more
At that time I pray that God opens Heavens door

You are lucky to have friends like that. I have no friends where I am to help me. Awesome poem!
