See that, there?
Don't look, it's
Worse when you look at it,
Really.

Just pretend that my arm
Had that crick that annoys you
Or I was talking to myself.

No,

I'm not angry,
Because you forgot how the
tall glasses hurt
My hand when I wash them,
But because
It never occurred to you,
To do your own dishes at all.

And I'm not angry,
When I wash, and cut, and cook
And I serve, sit, and watch
As two hours of effort go cold
Because you have a
Forum post to finish
No, I'm just waiting
For a "thank you."

(And I'll still pay for you,
And drive you home from work,
And smile, and joke,
And pretend it's all okay:)

Because, I'm not angry,
That I was the first person you said hi to
Each morning, or the last person you said
Goodnight to, the person you
Always
Wanted to do stuff with,
The one who pulled you close,
And told you your hair smelled nice,
(The one who you told everything)--

Even though now,
I don't touch you, and
I don't know the first thing about you
That you tell your chatroom
Friends
(Who stole away your eyes and words
And left me with an open, empty
mouth and a -delayed- echo...)

(Because, if I don't "goodnight" first,
I won't get a good night at all,)

No,
I'm not angry.
I'm...

Hi,

Yes - an excellent piece on unrequited appreciation.

The internet has a lot to answer for - not least
the rivalry for attention that often builds between
couples.

Maybe if you take a couple of days off from
the chores it might at least raise an eyebrow!!??

Nicely written.

Tommy

Agree, the internet does have alot to answer for. Causes friction in relationships, can cause break up or beak downs.

Well thought out writing.
" No Im not angrty, Im ......(lost, hurt , betryayed??)

Interesting end or is it the beginning??
