I want you that’s all there is to it,
For years now my heart has known,
Your love is what I desire.
Your love for me has always been true,
As for mine has always been hidden,
I’m glad you thought me worth the wait.
I don’t know how,
I really don’t care,
All that matters is that we’re here.
The journey doesn’t matter,
The roads to the place have been rough,
But lets focus on the present
‘Tis you I love,
You have my heart, every last piece,
It’s all yours to keep
I want you here,
I need you with me now,
Come back to me love and never leave me.
I know I seem unfair,
You’ve waited so patiently,
But here I am demanding
I’ve finally come to my senses,
My heart is now ruler,
‘Tis you I love and will always need,
I love you My Darling

‘Tis you, My Darling

I want you that’s all there is to it,
For years now my heart has known,
Your love is what I desire.
Your love for me has always been true,
As for mine has always been hidden,
I’m glad you thought me worth the wait.
I don’t know how,
I really don’t care,
All that matters is that we’re here.
The journey doesn’t matter,

Very nice.

I noticed that you said "the journey doesn't matter." Well... is not the present the journey? You said the present was what we should focus on. I can't help but think of a quote that said something along the lines of:

It's not where we are going, but the journey there.

It's nothing really, but it stood out to me and so I thought it was worthy of comment. And I did like it... poetry can sometimes be likened to a free for all where the rules of grammar and physics as we know them do not apply. I didn't think it was all that choppy at all, actually.
