I am just a star by day
I am there yet I cannot be seen
You are the sun, you make me grey
And people think that I have never been
And every night the thought of you
Sets fire in my heart
It lets me glow each night anew
As guidepost and as guard
But YOU will never see me
The other stars are not so different
When youre there I glow invisibly
And many light-years distant.

I really love this poem.
Although it conveys to me a very sad tale, filled with feelings of repression and frustration,
it has a tremendous innocence about it...... and this is what I like so much.
Maybe this star is not so grey, but soaring high on it's way to bigger and brighter things?
Fabulous write, very talented indeed x
