Yeah we were close as can be,
But I threw it away,
And when I saw it was gone,
Didn’t know what to say.

It’s when I fell to the ground,
And took hold of my heart,
That’s when I looked to the sky,
Didn’t know where to start.

Didn’t know what to do,
Cause our friendship I broke it,
It’s like I broke my heart,
Didn’t know how to fix it.

Now we don’t even talk,
Can’t get a simple hello,
Just wish you’d talk to me,
Till I say “I have to go”.

Yeah, I’ll say we were close,
Just like the sun and the moon,
Like all the stars in the sky,
You shine just like they do.

I’m just saying I love ya,
Not in that sort of way,
I’m just saying I’m sorry,
So that we are okay.

This is not just a poem,
It’s the truth if you see,
I just want to be your friend,
Just like you were to me.

Lost Friendship

Let’s go back to a time,
When I use to be someone,
When we use to be friends,
To a time when we had fun.

We were the best of pals,

An honest and very caring write......
Sometimes, we all make mistakes that, looking back, should never have been made,
The most important thing is that we accept them, learn from them, and move on with wisdom and better character.
